Join us for Pride Month • June 5th

Join us this June as we honor the vibrant LGBTQ+ community that enriches the Coastside. Make It Main Street is proud to celebrate love, identity, and creative expression with an evening of inclusive performances, heartfelt storytelling, and local artistry. Together, let's create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated.

Pride Flag Unveiling Ceremony

At 4:30 PM, join Dana Johnson, MSW, San Mateo County LGBTQ Commissioner and CoastPride board member, along with several community members, as they unveil the Pride Flag atop City Hall. Light refreshments will be served to celebrate this meaningful moment.

Live Music & Cultural Performances

Professional Coastside musicians perform at various times and locations on Main Street. Stroll towards the sounds of a world-class jazz piano duo, down the street to a singer-songwriter, or be drawn towards a trio of bluesmen or a chamber ensemble. The lineup, genres, and locations will vary every month.

Live Music & Performances

  • Jane Woodman as Highway to Pluto
Performing from 3:00 – 4:30 PM on the Mac Dutra Stage. Experience original acoustic tunes that blend rock, pop, country, and blues, perfectly setting the stage for an afternoon of celebration. Jane is thrilled to be part of this special event!

  • Half-Baked
Performing from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Makers’ Marketplace
Soak up the energy as Half-Baked brings their unique sound to the heart of the Makers' Marketplace.

Sebastian Petersen, who teaches this technique at SCRAP SF in San Francisco, will guide you through the process while keeping things lively and entertaining. All materials are provided free of charge, courtesy of Dragonfly Community Arts. Come get creative—it’s guaranteed to be a lot of fun!

About Sebastian Petersen:
Sebastian Petersen is an illustrator and amateur archivist living on the Central Coast of California. He earned his BFA in Illustration from California College of the Arts in 2021. He has also pursued additional studies in industrial design at the Pasadena College of Design and fine arts at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Sebastian is a fine artist, educator, and lifelong student. Raised in an old ranch house among the arid oak savannas of Southern California, he spent much of his youth reading, sculpting, and exploring the fields. If one word could describe his practice, it would be documentary.
